1. iDon't reflow text.
2. iDon't offer a real web experience, most sites identify me as a phone.
3. iDon't save web pages for offline viewing, i'm missing apps.

I don't want this to end up in an N900 vs. iPhone discussion. Think there are already some in different threads.
For my needs, I just did not want to wait any longer and I am really happy with the decision to get an iPhone instead. After all, this was my plan B.

I have both the iPhone 3GS and the N900 FYI
I prefer the N900 a lot more than the iPhone. Used iPhone for 2 weeks, didn't really like it, it's too basic, I felt like a noob.
The iPhone 3GS is now located in a dark corner of my desk. I consider the iPhone as a low-end gaming device best use of its accelerometer with some phone features.
Other than that, iPhone is rubbish.
Why bother with iPhone when developers are ditching Apple and move elsewhere? The apps have reached its height. It's all downhill from now for iPhone.

My 5 year old son is starting to use my iPod touch more than I do. I'm almost full time with my n8x0's. And after two years they're still getting better every day. I have another 6 months with my Apple iPhone developers license. Not sure if I'm gonna renew it. Also, every three months I have to renew this thing called a Provisioning Profile for the device. If I don't, I can't develop on the device and all my non App Store apps expire and become unuseable. Unless, of course, I go back in time. That's what I call iFun.

Anyone who says the iPhone is ahead of all other smartphones is probably way better of with the iPhone than then N900 anyways. The iPhone isn't really a smartphone in the way most people define a smartphone at all. The only reason its being called a Smartphone is because the term smartphone has no formal definition and as of such, most phones out there today can be referred to as smartphones.
I dont think I have to mention what the iPhone does and does not do, but basically, my conclusion is as follows:
What the iPhone does, it does very well, but there are just so many things it does not do. For the target audience, this is perfect, because they dont need all that many smartphone features and just want a slick, nice phone with a touchscreen.
However, me being a linux loving, gadget freak, I woulndt be caught dead with an iPhone as I personally dont even consider it a smartphone.

Well I think openssh asks you to choose a new password (not sure about that though). So maybe not exactly, but same line of attack if the NIT and n900 were to be vulnerable.
