Looks like I will hold off this update until all is sorted. The minor update has improved much and I will leave it at that. I cannot risk losing my N900.

After the update, volume decreases and increases painfully slow when using the dedicated keys. From silent to max it takes 7,4 seconds!

I have noticed that the media player widget on the desktop no longer plays the music yet it lets me skip tracks

In the main media player app it works fine though

how many people with issues from the update have modified config files and/or put apps from extras devel and extras testing on their phone?
it's VITAL that you remove those factors from the equation before bug testing the new firmware, as you need to make sure it's not a 3rd party app causing your problems. alot of the problems people are having is from the modifying and 3rd party apps not the firmware. and i mean alot not all.

Happily it disappears after tracker picks up your tumbnails from video files. But you may need some reboot after what - just sit and wait one day.
Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, probably because i've got some video files which aren't media player compatible (i use mplayer to watch them). also, i figured out that if get-video-thumbs never gets a chance to run (ie, reboot, access videos from file manager) all the compatible videos work.

Is there any way to disable thumbnailing completely? I hardly ever use that view anyway.

TIA

Just worked out the fix for this,

remove the widget, click done

re add the widget, click done

click on the widget to launch the app, and then close down media player and now songs play again from the widget

It must have messed up the playlist or removed it

In Phone, when I pick a contact from the recent calls list, I can call them by calling Cell or Home directly, but not via Skype. If I first go to "Select contact", I can call Cell or Home directly and via Skype.

I think this limitation is new in PR 1.1, but was OK in 1.0. Could someone who hasn't upgraded confirm?
