Have a couple of video on SDHC - different formats, different resolutions.

After upgrade to 51.1 there were a lot of problem with video playback - anything, which is described in this thread.

Did reinstallation of Extended Decoder Support - the situation was still the same - chaotic playing, play rejection etc.

Finally I took a breath and start looking systematically - which file doesn't play etc. Each time between playback I started some video which I did by backside camera - just to check which video file is cause.

But! After while the problem disappeared - most of video started playing good, no bad effects etc. Moreover, no annoying system crashes during playback of some .mkv, and some files which didn't play even in KMPlayer starts playing in in it and in regular media player. So, now only MPEG1 video doesn't play but I think I will re-install mpeg2dec (which calls libmpeg2-4) and test. In 42-11 it played well.

So, conclusion - until tracker finishes a processing of video files you may expect a lot of video problems... because tracker uses the same video hardware as media player. After that - anything playes good.

EDIT: I didn't try streaming video - my media player never shows any media from windows system or whatever. I never knew about it. May it be a non-US version feature?

You need a uPNP media server on your computer, it will then automatically show up in media player.

I just realised that I have the same problem with streaming and before, ya, it was perfect. Sound plays fine but the video, in my case, is never shown. However, I have voted but shocked to see only 38 votes after mine, is it that people haven't noticed yet (LIKE ME) or they don't have any problem? c'mon nokia it was just couple days ago I was proudly demonstrating my friend the streaming, the quality and freedom to not have to convert but now...

Not that many votes? This feature isn't used by many people except us?

Happening with TVersity for me;

Initialise stream through either File Manager or Media Player and I get sound for a while but no running video.

BUT - if I copy the same file through TVersity to Local storage on the N900, they play back fine...

This bug has been confirmed as fixed internally which means that it will be fixed in the next firmware update.
