If you're referring to Ebonics I don't buy it. I served in the United States Navy for 5 years. During that time I was assigned to a computer shop that had 5 "African American" IT's, myself, and one other "white" guy.
I hate bringing race into things.. as I don't see things in that way... but you are specifically mention "Black-Country" and are referring to "culture" with which they are typically associated. So this example seems fitting.
Yes, I heard "axe" instead of "ask" several times. Apart from that... you could tell almost no difference between our speech. Even when they talked to "each other" (somehow implying a further categorization that just doesn't exist) they simply talked normal.
Speaking like an intelligent human being has nothing to do with race, or color. I don't care if everyone around you growing up spoke like a complete buffoon - that does not mean you have to. Even looking through the wiki it's constantly referring to "vernacular english", sudo-english, and also Black, African American, yada etc etc meh..
I'm sorry, that kind of thing just further enhances racism on both sides of the conflict. I'm not talking about things like "Colour" vs "Color", we all know UK English is slightly different than American English. "Bloody" I guess is a curse word of some sort? We rarely use it except to joke.
I'm also not referring to accent - an accent is fine. What I am referring to is completely obliterating the English language for the sake of creating a "sub-culture". That's just as ludicrous as l33t sp33k, or any other form of made-up language just to confuse people you're talking to to look "cool".

It is impossible to ascertain the difference unless you are a person (and possibly charged with weeding out the dim.)

Black Country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Country
If you ever accuse me of racism, or bring such rubbish into a conversation with me again, I'll take you outside, sir.
The only requirement I have in posting is that people think before posting. I honestly don't care what language or slang they post with or in, but for the love of Pete, think.

I don't think ban-the-lulzers is still on the table.
That's why we're having "mod each other in a gigantic paintball game" still on the table. Fun, too. Maybe.
Also, can we have this: http://xkcd.com/481/ ? Can't believe it's not an option yet.

I didn't say you were racist. I said classifying things like this only serve to separate people. The wiki was an example of that.
People have a heritage, history, and culture. Every culture has it's differences, which is all fine and dandy. But communication is very clear, and in most countries there is a primary language taught in schools because in order to function in any given society - you must make sense.
For the most part, in the U.S., our schools teach English as a required, and some schools have started requiring bi-lingual and/or Spanish specifically. All fine.
But using "your own" language to communicate with someone not of your "group" just to make them look at you funny is *not* fine. Ignoring everything they *do* teach you school about whatever language you're trying to speak is also not fine.
Everyone should be able to speak whatever language they want to their friends. Have at it. If you go into public, or talk to someone that isn't in your "circle" - human decency says you should speak on whatever "common" ground there is. If you are completely unable to do so, don't be angry or surprised when people can't understand you - or just plain don't listen to you.
(again, generic "you's", not directly aimed)

It's when practically the entire post is in said slang, makes little sense, and is void of content.
But I do agree that I don't see any form of automated system able to weed this out.
If I've helped you or you use any of my packages feel free to help me out.
