There might be a way around this, if one could get ahold of one of the little pocket touch tone dialers that used to be widely sold in gadget catalogs. Hold it up to the mic and let it generate the tones for you.
Only I wonder where on earth one could find such a thing anymore?

I just installed Gizmo when I was setting up my 770. I thought it was so cool that I installed in on my Ubuntu box.
I had issues in Ubuntu with connecting.
Then.... last night I tried calling out on my 770 and had a similar issue.
So... This morning I had teh idea of shutting down my 770 completely since I had been sleeping it with the cover on. Rebooted, restarted Gizmo and it worked.
So... I did the same on my Ubuntu laptop and whaddya know? Gizmo works.
Soemtimes having the windows mindset helps
