for some reason an installed program i have called recaller does not show in the list of selectable apps???? this app is ideal for recaller as it would mean when i record call i dont need to minimise the phone app (which would be open if i was on a call) and start searching 4 desktops for the recaller icon.
any idea why its not showing anyone????

I second the request for more than one row of four buttons. Another possibility would be to make the buttons smaller, but I suppose that would be not as finger-friendly.
