Same problem here - just shuts down immediately after the Xterm window opens. Any ideas how to get this working again?

n900 version of this code is based on 0.2.7 - which has this problem on other platforms too.
I've just compiled 0.2.10 which solves this... all that needs to happen here is for someone to compile 0.2.10 again for the n900 - I think...

See https://bugs.launchpad.net/live-f1/+bug/742277

I haven't the knowledge to package up the fix I'm afraid - hopefully the package owner will do this soon?

I'll have go though...

thanks Colin

I have tried to follow your instructions from the other thread but i keep getting this error:

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

~ $ sudo gainroot
Root shell enabled

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 3:1.10.2.legal-1osso30+0m5) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/home/user # dpkg -i $(find /home/user -name live-f1_0.2.10-1maemo1_arme1.deb -type f)
dpkg: --install needs at least one package archive file argument

Type dpkg --help for help about installing and deinstalling packages[*];
Use `dselect' or `aptitude' for user-friendly package management;
Type dpkg -Dhelp for a list of dpkg debug flag values;
Type dpkg --force-help for a list of forcing options;
Type dpkg-deb --help for help about manipulating *.deb files;
Type dpkg --license for copyright license and lack of warranty (GNU GPL)[*].

Options marked[*] produce a lot of output - pipe it through `less' or `more' !
/home/user #

your help is very much appreciated. thanks

You could try
Code:
find /home/user -name live-f1_0.2.10-1maemo1_arme1.deb -type f
if that doesnt show where you copied the deb file then you didnt save the file as "live-f1_0.2.10-1maemo1_arme1.deb"
So replace "live-f1_0.2.10-1maemo1_arme1.deb" with what ever you did save the file as.

Thanks Yorkey.

That was just what I needed I knew the file was there but this made me realize I had been typing one letter wrong.

I feel so stupid and dyslexic.

Thanks heaps for pointing me in the right direction.

I now have it working.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!!
