It Finds The Phone But Will Not Flash, Any Ideas.?

Thank You,

Anthony-Curtis

Hi Anthony. Did you resolve this problem as I seem to have it too - although rather than maemo it was android I installed. Flasher instructions do mention something about Cold flashing (for when the bootloader has changed) - and since the android dual boot is likely to have altered bootloader it may be that...I am still trying to decipher what it means though so no answer for you yet - If you resolved your problem though you could hopefully share and save me a bit of time.
Cheers

Dean

You should try updating your flasher to the 3,5 flasher

I JUST had this issue!

I was trying to flash it with the vanilla image
RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin

and was getting stuck on
Suitable USB device not found, waiting.

So I tried different firmware
RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin
(USA?)
worked for me!!!!

So, if vanilla doesnt work, try your region's instead?

edit: funny thing, I did

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin -f
PAUSE

and

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin -f -R
PAUSE

Yet the addresss book and all data remained on the phone - what gives?

XP 32 bit

I'll try again, so eMMC, is without the -R, and should be done FIRST, disconnect phone, close flasher, take out battery, and do it all again with the -R flag

cuz thats what i did

Having the same issue here as well.

I can flash the firmware just fine(USA) but then when I go to flash the EMMC it just hangs up on the Waiting.

I am using the LibUSB since I am running windows 7(x86) and cannot figure out why this wont work.

I have tried taking out the battery and puting it back in when this happens and it just stays stuck on "Suitable USB device not found, waiting."

So I read it's not doable to download a XP machine on to my pc? Is there any other way to do this, doing the firmware install does nothing but reset all of my settings, I need to do a clean wipe to be happy and start over again.

I have had the same issue (using Windows XP 32-bit - flashing the OS image works fine, but flashing eMMC hangs waiting for a USB device).

I resolved it by using a Linux machine to flash, rather than Windows. The images being flashed were identical, but it worked from Linux with no hangs.
