The big power drain is when I'm in a fringe reception area when the radio constantly tries to connect, goes out and tries again and again. For whatever reason that really slams the battery.
Today...the usage of "unlimited" by current ISPs and wireless telcoms borders fraudulent. And I mean on the other side of the border.

Back on topic. I found the WiFi to be a major battery drain. My phone would drain 40-50% over night, sitting in an area with lots of hotspots and a wifi link to one. Using the WiFi Switcher app has fixed that for me.
I've taken to disconnecting the Internet connections totally at night, otherwise I'll end up with Skype spam in the middle of the night and the alert wakes me up.
