I had a solution to this one month ago, I just kept my N900 on charge patiently about an hour. Then during the flash, I removed battery and placed back meanwhile holding U down.

I know how to fix your reboot loop problem but I will only tell you if you admit to being a dumbass for downloading a non-final version and then coming here crying for help.

I had the reboot problem before too, and there is a trick.

I'd point out that the actual fool was the guy who posted the leaked version here in the first place. How ever ppl should think twice before flashing their firmwares.

Nah, people need to eat a little humble pie once in a while. Rushing out to dive headlong into something they don't fully understand, then want the rest of us to bail them out.

If they admit they're a dumbass, I will help.

Otherwise they can let the battery drain to zero and be permanantly screwed.

look i have created a post about this before but i never finished it because every one said there was already a tutorial.

There is a very exact process you must go thro to reflash your n900.

The chances are that you cant get to r&d mode because your battery is to low. I didnt belive this untill i had the same problems as you.

As i already stated you can not charge your battery through your phone in this state you must use an external charger or x5800.

check this thread http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=43067 i have a post half way down the page it should help clear up the process you need to go through. It is unfinished and probaly will not get finished inless i get more thanks.

for the unfinished sections see the reflashing wiki to fill in the blanks.

P.S. - Holding down the u key while trying to link it to the USB for flashing will not work in the reboot loop. It will simply reboot on you. Like I said, there is a trick.

@jamie721 - You're damn right.
