So, very poor response here about DreamRemote... I got only feature requests and bug reports per EMail. Without the EMails I would say only I, myself are interested in such kind of software.

So, I got EMails from more than 10 different People. Many have installed DreamRemote from extra Devel, some from extra Testing. But at the moment only 3 people have voted for the package at testing. Very frustrating.

Nevertheless, I uploaded a new version to extra devel. Now with support for different ports. Please, test it only if you want. If something is not working as you expected, please deinstall DreamRemote and install it again from extra Testing. Have fun!

I participate with my small project at the maemo coding competition and to avoid confusion because of the two different versions I promoted now the newest version to extras-testing.

Please vote if everything works fine at your device. And don't forget to vote at the coding competition if you like my first small N900 project.

Thanks for the app Helex...

You've got my vote for the Coding Competition, although I still can't use the app on my Vu+ Duo (Marasys' fault, not Yours)...

I hope they get their act together and make it work soon.

Thanks a lot.

I never heard before about the Vu+ Duo. I've done some research and I guess there is also something like a web remote when you enter the Vu+ IP adress in your webbrowser. Could you check this? If you help me to find out how it works at the Vu+ I can integrate it with some luck into my DreamRemote Application.

I tried this with my DM600PVR which has Pli Jade installed, but it doesn't seem to work.

How should I start finding out what is the cause?

Check if you have a connection to the same W-Lan network and to your DM600PVR.
Have you entered the IP adress correctly, do you use a user defined port?

Try to open the webbrowser at your N900 and enter the IP adress of your DreamBox. At example: http://192.168.0.6
You should see the webinterface of your DM600. If it doesn't work check the connection, the settings at your DreamBox and if the webinterface is correctly running.

It uses the same webremote plugin as the DreamBox (runs E2) so there's really not much You can do (I think)... It doesn't work in the browser either and Marasys/VU+ have been notified. I think it a driver issue (and they are closed source).

I asked the OpenPLi guys about the problem and they told me it's up to marasys/VU+ to fix it.

The Vu+ is more or less a cheaper version of the DM8000HD with more RAM/faster CPU, but with 1 or 2 (Solo or Duo version) fixed DVB-S2 tuners instead of replacable tuners...

This is the official page: http://vuplus.com

Ouh, okay. That's sad.
I keep my fingers crossed for you that they fix it soon.

Ouh, okay. In this case anyway no alternative for my good old DM7025. I need DVB-C tuners...

Because of the same reason is the DM8000HD with 2 fixed DVB-S tuners and only the possibility to add 2 DVB-C additionally still to expensive for me.
But let's see what the future will bring. Competition is good for business.
