good apps, but just one minor question. It takes me some time to prepare the list when start-up given I only have around 150 contacts.. is it possible to speed up??

This looks quite useful - good work! Are you making the source available? I'd like to poke around with it a bit, and maybe look into making Skype calls work, as I don't have a cell plan on my N900 right now.

This is a great app. Just what I've been looking for. Though one question, is there a reason why it's in fullscreen hiding the menu bar? It'd be great if I can also access other apps or do something else w/o closing this one. Perhaps an option to enable or disable fullscreen?

This is the 2nd time someone asks me about minimizing.
The reason it's fullscreen is cause I wanted to use all the space I can.
I'll add a minimize button soon.

It takes time even if you have 5 contacts or 1000 contacts.
The only way I can get around it, is store the contacts in my own way, but thats a bit complicated, so I left it for later.

Hi,
Just downloaded the app, and already like it. Perfect for using while in the car. I noticed you only search from left to right. Would it be an option to search for the beginning of every word? Now I have the contracts stored as 'first name' - 'last name'. This implies I cannot search on lastname. This would be a great addition.

1st, I am glad to hear you like it
Using it in the car was what pushed me to writing this app.
Adding free form matching instead of exact matching is possible, but will kinda go against my initial design.
It will eventually lead to more options in the buttons.
I think i'll experiment with it a bit, I have a few ideas.
