It's a terrible idea if you want to protect your data from anyone who is the least into Linux.



If the solution is complicated, there is a definite need for a GUI. The solution above is not.



I'll think about it as soon as you look at the lists I made and identify the attacker(s) you want to protect your data from.
1st of all its PORN not PRON....got it???

And about cute/personal pics u'll understand if u have a girl friend...not all the photos have to be nude man.....come on.....

personal doent mean nude to everyone(Xcept U)

People just know how to bang on other peopls question rather than helping them.....

any way u keep waiting for my list of answers while i'll also wait for someone els who'll make it....

And by the way attackers are every where

I've actually spent some time now trying to help you to ask questions in a better way. But you continue to ignore the help, ignore the suggestions and refuse to answer simple questions.

Dude ur response was also kinda rude....all the time talking about porn and stuff...
dats y i responded like that....i never ignored anybody's opinion on this forum coz it is supposed to a helping community.
many offered good help to their Xtend

i just asked if an App that could lock files could be made...its as simple as that....

is it that confusing....

ya thats really cooll...Locking the conversation App also will do if hiding can not be done....i was more looking for Locking kinda App..

It is confusing when you don't seem to understand what "locking a file" means and refuse to give more details regarding what level of protection would be needed.

I have suggested several solutions, including creating special directories, password protected archives and encrypted files but you refuse to comment on these.

How am I, or any other developer, supposed to understand what you actually want if you refuse to go into detail (more than "it should lock files, like, so, like, they're like locked")?

Asking good questions helps when wanting good answers. While preparing to ask that good question, your research will reveal more details helping you make your question even better.

If creating a directory named "Private" somewhere solves your problem, fine, but if you want something else, do get into the details. I'm not spending time on this forum to act as your on demand coder, but I do try to help if I can so please lay off the "You started by being rude.".
