WTF??? This is not Windows, of course there is no cmd.exe!
Probably something wrong with the detection of your OS.

Which distribution are you using?

It's using mencoder to make the encoding. Can you send me an email, I can then seng you back a version that probably works.

My copy will convert Youtube vids but you get a random chance of the audio being out of sync. Some work, some don't. Mplayer will play most flvs without conversion though (Apart from one I nabbed from youtube that hard reboots my n800).

We solved the question by rider and the latest version (which only ryder has), includes support for BSD as well.

As to your ubuntu problem, have you installed mencoder on your ubuntu. It is not included in linux media converter, as linux computers tend to be so different from each other.

Yes, I have mencoder installed. It's just as he described. When I switch to N800, the resolution options don't change. Maybe the new version will fix it for me, too?

Nice program, BTW. I booted XP and converted a whole season of a TV show in one go. I love the drag 'n' drop. Nice feature, and the Medium Quality vids play/look great in MPlayer. Thanks!

I used ver. 1.43 to convert some XviD files to 400x240 resolution, and I noticed that the audio will gradually slide out of sync while viewing them on my N800. Is this due to the framerate being messed with somehow? How might I go about fixing it?
