Sorry you're having so many problems. If you can't even browse the web interface locally, there must be something else going on.
Check out:

and

for some info on getting the basics set up. Maybe you missed something small yet vital?
I'd recommend trying the command line configuration they suggest there and see what errors (if any) you see.

Ok it's working now but I cannot start VLC directrly from PC anymore xD

//edit : Played around with the settings a bit and it's working just fine now. Ty
But it would be nice if I could select folders and files by clicking on them and not always have to press "browse".

Really glad you got it working!

We may consider making the behaviour user configurable - setting the default action. Obviously, at the moment there are several actions you can perform on a folder in the browser: browse, add to playlist, play now, set as home, add to favourites.

This is a very cool app, but do you think it would be possible to control DVD menus with it as well?

And would it be possible to add an option to set a standard drive/folder that you don't have to browse all the folders over and over again because all my media is stored in E: and not C:/user/.... ?

Thanks. Not sure if dvd menus are exposed through the interface we connect to and mouse control is something else entirely. i'll add it to the feature requests and we'll see what can be done.

Yes, this is exactly what setting a folder as 'home' does. Tap open the main menu from the brower screen and you'll see options for home and favourite folders. Sounds like what you need.
