Maybe, but writing a proper boot.scr is the way to go, anyway.
When you write a boot.scr, keep in mind it isn't just a text
file. You have to use mkimage to create a loadable file.

kingoddball, can you try just changing third partition type from swap to FAT on your BB and try to boot?

Yes, the u-boot actually reads boot.scr from the first partition of the mmc.
I had to type
run noloboot
to boot maemo.

This worked after changing uImage.bin to uImage, but the system shuts down right after "Loading kernel...".
So it's not the swap problem, I guess.

R&D-mode may help

I remember the first nitdroid kernel only works in R&D-Mode,
but I am not sure.
