gstreamer0.10-tools_0.10.25-0maemo4+0m5_armel.deb
without red pill mode?

red pill mode isn't used on maemo5.

I don't know why this isn't working for you.
I can install this gstreamer deb file.

Maybe some older gstreamer package not from you?

I tried to install
gstreamer0.10-tools_0.10.25-0maemo4+0m5_armel.deb
but this time with
dpkg -i
as root and now it works.
Don't know why the normal installation did not work.
