This is not nice. Like we are attending a furneral in memorial of someone just to find him breaking out of coffin to make more memory with us. I understand how lonely you would have been in other forum but shouldn't you just lie down in your coffin quietly so that we could keep mourning for the lost of you? Think about the children please, have you realize how bad a precedence you've shown to our next generations whom we depend our future on. Now we are doomed thanks a bunch.

So it seems like I left once because of the N900 basically dying, only to come back because I could get my hands on the N9, but with both of my N9's either sold, or in failure or failing - random restarts on my Finnish built N9 - I've moved onto the BlackBerry Dev Alpha B to awaiting when I can get the BB Z10.

I've said my farewell's before, but as a gadget lover, I've moved platforms fully to where there are no Maemo devices left in my house.

Only my Android Nexus 7, Apple iPad, BlackBerry PlayBook and now BB10.

Farewell? I'll still haunt these halls... came back once, didn't I?

But this time, I'll not be able to witness the cool stuff you guys still do on any device I possess. Good luck with your endeavors, glad to see this forum outlasting what I anticipated to be a quick death and honestly, this forum seems to be in great hands.

gerbick,

Random restarts? On your free time start a thread and get it resolved as if its not a HW failure it'll work out eventually

Yep. I've already dealt with some folks via Twitter and their answers of "it's not happening to me" basically sealed the deal. I reflashed but it would still randomly drop calls and/or restart. I seriously think it was a hardware issue - the dropped calls would happen when I was using a bluetooth headpiece and the phone would also connect to my AT&T Microcell. But only the Finnish one, not the Chinese one.

There's a weird mix of what it could have been, but at the end of the day, after dealing with it for 3 months, to heck with it I say.

It happened when it was tweaked, not tweaked.

Maybe I'll circle back at a later date. Starting to think that this forum isn't going anywhere soon and as long as helpful people like you are still around, it's still a great resource.

Thanks man. I appreciate your offer and will take you up on it when I have the time.

Me VS Gerbick 1-0

Easy win. Take care.

If you had told me about the date you leaving we could have set up a FINAL COUNTDOWN ll just for your departure.

Quick reply...
All these comments are highly entertaining. Thank you. Unfortunately, I doubt I could reply to all of them...

Hmm... Ghost of a dead person is allowed to haunt his place of death, is he not? Besides, it's not actually announcement of his death; rather, it's a notice that his... say, RC cars... are badly broken, and he is (hopefully, temporarily) switching to an alternative (like, RC submarines). Hopefully, with help of thedead1440, and-or somebody else, he will take part in the parties here again.
Best wishes.

Well, now who will I argue with? :P

Bah, I'm sure I can find someone here... Good luck mate. I'm sure we'll bump elbows again, be it in 5 years or 10. The open source community is large, yet still a rather small world.
