First off, you don't want to do ANYTHING to everything in the /opt folder.
You just want to replace the contents of the /opt/kof folder. That's it. Be damned sure not to screw with anything in /opt except for kof. You got that?
You'll be running commands as root and if you're not careful, you can do some pretty serious damage.
