I don't see anything like that now. Have the drivers been built into the testing build and, if so, which drivers are they (closed or open)? If not, where are the driver directions in the install notes?

edit: typo correction
the closed bits are included in the image (battery/gfx and modem drivers)

one other thing i found, the virtual keyboard would keep popping up at random times, even with the physical keyboard open. it would block the text input.
<Sym>+<Backspace> brings up the task switcher.

Grrr, I don't know what's wrong with my N900 I can't get neither wifi nor 3G to work. Some weird message about hci failing shows up during boot. Apart from that it's finally usable, speedwise, great job.

I also can't make ctl+bkspc go home, and swiping from the edge also doesn't seem to work (or am I holding it wrong?). I'm going to try it one day on the other N900 and see. BTW does it matter which maemo kernel I have for meego to work? or which u-boot variant (provided that it boots fine, problems come afterwards)

The bug is better described here, https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=20047 I know, I didn't answer all the questions but I messed up the device after that, but now all is good and I can dig more into the problem. Now I'm gonna try it on my other N900 and report back

During boot I'm getting

hci_h4cp: FW error
hci_h4cp: send firmware failed

It works on my other device with "u-boot for pr1.3"

I'll put it back to the first device and I'll be back

yes indeed. It shows that error in both devices, it's irrelevant.

The relevant error is the one shown in the bug report. I guess something is wrong with the old device. In maemo though everything works fine, including the bleeding edge driver.

btw the helium browser seems very nice

This procedure not exists.
Flasher (windows version but linux version also) can't flash meego disk image and furthermore MeeGo don't use Nand (rootFS).

Why do you want to erase Maemo from N900 ?
If you want to test MeeGo on eMMC, please repartition your eMMC to make room for MeeGo and then install it on eMMC
