Have you try to do DISK CHECK from windows? It seems to be an error in file system ( at my opinion). Try connect you N900 at mass storage, go to My Computer, right click to N900 storage and click properties, now go to tools and disk check, tick the box automatically fix file system error and click start, and wait.
Hope that fix the problem, if you haven't mess all over. Also some recovered files kept in seperate folder in root(hidden file so enable show hidden files on your PC) with name LOSTFILES.OO

Your last hope if it doesnt work is to use file recovery software (like recoverMyFiles) and try to find deleted files

Since you are saying that you can still play your music, the files seems to be there. Don't do too much command line stuff if you are not too familiar with it.

If you have wireless access, you can enable sshd and use winscp to login from your Windows PC to your N900.

You should then be able to download the files.

If you don't have it, then the best way would be to connect to a Linux desktop, like Ubuntu/OpenSuSE, etc and copy files.

While you at it, get rid of the Windows desktop for ever. Migrate/upgrade to Linux desktop.

Good luck.

...not to forget UNetbootin, which is a prefered way to extract bootable ISOs to a pendrive.

I managed to download WinScp application and connected pc-n900 in this way. Thank you for introducing me to this method.

And I can find the .sounds folder (although it is greyed out) and the songs are there. So what I have in mind is just to create a new folder and transfer all my songs there. What do you think?

@qhubekela & dr_frost_dk, I am also installing Ubuntu file in livesystem, do I have to do it as well? I can already transfer my files.

I had also try to remove the file using CMD prompt. but it shows that the file cannot be found.

I have also DISK CHECK my device using PC but had to cut it short cause it is taking too long.

Would anyone know how should I remove that usbs file? It's kinda bothering to know that it still exist in my device. And I am worried that it might affect other partitions/apps.

Thanks to everyone who extended their help!

Download FileBox on your N900 and try to delete it with that
