I can't decide...
They are alllll fabulous pictures...
Excepting of course.. that card-shark... HtheB's ... :d

I swear you were just waiting for decades ...hovering over the submit button with that one!
ach..
device wise HtheB took it.
Single article-wise...the water pump took it. (though the old honda is a very close second)
Scenic-wise chenliangchen took it.

If I reallly have to choose...
I'm a sentimental sucker for idyllic scenes ..
sooo..
I vote for chenliangchen

not easy choice...I like them all...
hate choosing in this kinda situation.

Choose was easy for me as being little bit retro game freak.
I vote HtheB.

@nokiabot, never mind the bold. I kinda did everything in a hurry and thought it was important.

Actually I have myself 3 players for my tapes. 1# That walkman in the picture, then #2 my precious 80's ghettoblaster and #3 my " 'home theater' " has also player for tapes!

Almost forgot, #4 my loved car Volvo S60 has only tape player!

Regarding tape digitizing, I was considering one of those Walkman-style thingies but most of my tapes were recorded in Dolby C and those things are not that fancy. I was next considering doing the Dolby processing in software but that proved equally challenging. The problem had eventually a very simple solution: use my old tape deck and a portable MP3 player with a record function. There are not so many of them around but I got one on eBay for about £10.

Hmm. I think 8-track players were starting to disappear even before there was a "Personal Computer", let alone a 5.25 inch computer bay. I'm not certain that there even are any manufacturers of 8-track players at all today! (There is a portable 8-track player being sold on Amazon, but it looks like the devices have just been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for two decades or more...)
