The warning happens with all mirrors .. Nokia cert expired long ago, and mirrors obviously can't do anything about that

Ok, so if I understand correctly, the certificates that signed the files in the repos expired... so the only way to get ride of the warning would be to sign again all the files with another certificate?
Not doable I presume.
I try to understand how this signature thing works when dealing with repos .... do you have a link that explains it?

It may very well be.

I will not jump the gun and prematurely call it dead.
But I will say I had to change repos for my n900's a while back since I wasn't getting anything from this repo...
AT THE TIME.

things may have changed by now ..or not...
could be maintaining needed ...
or they are temp or permanently down.

Have to inquire of the owner of the repo...
would be best idea for an answer straight from the source.

Thanks for all your effort in keeping Maemo alive. The site has been down for a few months. Is there anything we In the Maemo community can do to speed up the process of bringing it back to life? I have a few dead respotories and because of that can't use certain aps. I wanted to also know if you can send me a few respotory files? Preferably the ones for Nokia.

There is this muarf mirror (- Nokia Apps, - Nokia SSU)
I think from bencoh:

http://mirrors.muarf.org/maemo/

There you will also find the link to our wiki to make a mirror by yourself if it is needed.

For the other repos you don't need a mirror as far as I know it was only redirection to:

http://repository.maemo.org/
