My N800 doesn't see all local wifi networks all the time either.
ANd, I'm suspecting my DLINK DIR-655 isn't playing nice when it is in mixed N-G-B mode.
In G B it'll see it. Disconnect. Set to N G B, can't find it. (actually during the router little reset moment, the N800 can't see anything at all) Back to B G, there's my router. Though my laptop won't see it now.... Grrr
I've had similar issues with notebooks not seeing anything and having to do IP configs manually where DHCP isn't getting along. Time to write DLINK.
So, I'm really thinking there's something wrong with the router firmware. DIR-655 1.0.5
... If only I could figure out why Google talk is not able to connect "unable to connect to one or more accounts". On two accounts, password logs in on gmail, so it is correct. Updated skype and microb and fm. (if that matters) Used to work fine before, though I've never actively used it.

I know that, but there's a certain person with a Nintendo DS Lite which doesn't work with WPA or WPA2. So it's either no security or "some" security, WEP.

Pheew, at least a start.... I'm finally using it the way it was meant to be.
On a side note, is there a way (or an app) to get a (digital) clock on the top where it is visible all the time? I was so engrossed doing stuff on it that i didn't realize it was 3.35am !!!
