WP (the ecosystem) is not fully available throughout the intended market before at least a year from today, and world wide it will take even longer. By that time we will see Windows 8 and windows tablets, it will be a very different game altogether than we see today.
Android had only 1 device in it's first year. Bada has one now (the wave 2 - and some wave 1 leftovers) and it outsells WP with 11 devices (not counting the newly announced ones) by 2 to one

Wait and see instead of hating people who talk good of M/S, i am no fan i can assure you but i am not blinded by hate !.
A voice of reason among virtual CEOs. I am buying more nokia stock as they will double in 8 months. Unlike you, I have confidence
They will do well. A marriage of a best software company with the best hardware company is bound to shake up a market. Meego and maemo are irrelevant

I think we can agree that Apple is the king of cut'n paste (in every aspect), a fact that is proven in court.

MS-Nokia will be OK because they have the will and guts to do it. That is reason number one. The first WP was limited in too many ways to be attractive. The hardware-built on all the first WP phones were way below OK standard.

Now, Nokia and Samsung will compete head to head, pushing the industry fwd. They both want MS rather than Android. HTC and LG will come along for the ride, possibly also SE.

I want MS+Nokia to succeed because Nokia makes the best phones by far. It will simply be too bad if they went down the drain.

Did you see the amazing Apple profits for this quarter? Meego has no chance, hence MS-NOKIA alliance. I think that in many ways the war is over, but hope, and I put some money on it, that there is still some horse power left in the ole NOKIA

Everyone on here that hates M/s need to remember the devices then were way back in todays standards and the very reason they did not perform good at all.

Take Windows xp with 256mb ram and then you have your answer !.
