Regarding freezing and lagging and VKB (on screen keyboard?)
I had the Lg optimus O2x before the N9 and the N9 is MUCH more faster, smoother and i personally dont experience any lagging at all, and if you are referring to the keyboard its fast and smooth as well with no lagging at all.

Hi,

i got my N9 today, and now i've realised it doesn't support ogg vorbis audio codec out of the box.

Is there an easy way to get my music collection (which is mainly ogg) to play on the N9 without converting all my music?

Google search didn't help :-(

That can't be right. Has this been the case before you have installed any apps as well? How long have you had the phone?
N9 has similar, maybe a bit better battery life than iPhone 4, that has one of the longest lasting battery lifes of the high profile top end smartphones.

Meaning you get one day of battery usage and with moderate use two days.

Well I'm waiting for my micro-sim card since I received the N9 ( about 2 days ago ) so It's basically only working in Wifi.
Got only 2 IM account connected all the time, Gtalk and Facebook Chat. ( skype is in offline status )
Got 2 push emails account configured, 1 nokia account, 1 skype, 1 youtube and 1 twitter.

this morning I woke up and took it ( it was on airplane mode and fully charge )

On the appz battery usage, 2 hour and 27 minutes after, it showed that battery went from 95 % to 63 % ( in 2h27 minutes )

During this 2 hours I just took 3 pictures and 2 vidz of 30 seconds. didn't check any mails or website ( was on my laptop )

So most of the time, it was in idle mode .. ( confirmed by battery usage )

Thanks to the N900, I'm used to kill heavy tasks so multitaks didn"t kill ma battery

I got only 2 specific things : no sim card and devel mode activated ( maybe this one ? )

WiFi have reported to use quite a bit of battery life compared to other phones, but my N9 is connected to WiFi 70% of the time as well.

Though you got the N9 2 days ago so don't be bothered yet. I was really worried about my battery life after 4 days of use, but it suddenly got a lot better.
I don't know was the reason that i just did not get how much i was actually using N9 or what, but from 16hours it improved to around 40 hours.

Wait a week and that MicroSIM. I'm sure it will get better.

I have four unresolved problems with N9 at the moment.

1. How to get haze/gadugadu protocol working on N9?
(I got gabble/jabber account set up from terminal thanks to http://doclinux.com/content/how-crea...ber-account-n9)
N900 needed some extra packages, are these compatible/ported already?

2. How to get upcoming calendar notifications (and birthdays!) on the "event" screen, or anywhere visible without the need to start extra application.
(N900 had this via built-in calendar widget..., why N9 feels sometimes like downgrade...)

3. Why are deleted emails in IMAP4 account not deleted on the server?
I can see "unprocessed" emails in modest/evolution/thunderbird/webmail (after resync) which I have already deleted on the N9. Bug???
I have deleted the account, set it up again, the deleted messages are there back (just like all other email clients and webmail show).

4. I am unable to send files over paired Bluetooth/OBEX connection to N9 from my PC (Ubuntu 11.10). What am I doing wrong? Transfer N900->N9 works.

more issues are definitely coming...

<rant>
BTW I have to force myself to read this preinstalled "user guide" because almost each N9 functionality looks like Easter egg to me... a whole bunch of eggs. I think I am 30 years too old to get grip on this UI, I want my HW keyboard and terminal.... eh...
</rant>

Thanks to all getting all this Q&A thread working

Paul

ANSWERS:
3. "Trash" folder must be defined, otherwise deleting emails on N9 does not work.

Anyone know of an app (or site) that allows scrobbling to Last.FM on the N9? Somewhat annoyed that my plays on the N9 aren't being recorded. The longer I use the N9, strangely, the more I miss the N900...

The N9 is looking more to be like the N900... castrated... that's why it's missing the 00.

I believe your best bet is QuasarMX.

Only problem is that it's not available yet. test version soon and release by next month.
QuasarMX will be available from Nokia Store and separate page, beta will hopefully be available in late October and release by November.
