Fully charged and started my N900 today. Adding repos and will update it to latest CSSU-Thumb.

Its been more than a year that i picked a BlackBerry Z10 and then sold it to buy a Galaxy S4 but never used my N900. Planning to use it as my main phone for texting instead of my S4. Will see how it goes.

i've recently bought three spare n900s (~35eur, 21eur and 12eur). one had broken screen, one problematic modem chip. so all in all i have 3 fully working devices and one for parts (still good for flashing/devel)

I am using a N900 as my main phone for two months now after using it mainly as a small Emacs/org-mode PC. Got frustrated about my Samsung galaxy android phone after owning a G1 for a few years. I really missed the keyboard. Had my eye on the N900 for a long time, but thought it had a dead OS due to the shift from Nokia to Windows Phone. I took the plunge after reading about Emacs for N900 and Easy Debian.
I should have bought one years ago - it is still an amazing device and everything it lacks is fully compensated by its uniqueness. Definitely not a phone for everyone but it suits me greatly.

Me..
I got 3 n900's
1 which is only fit for my soon to be neo900..
1 which has no telephony function [it's shot for that] but still use it for xperimenting
1 which is fine and use it as my daily.

But ...
I couldn't resist...
I saw it ......
saw the stated condition..
heavy wear...no telephony [shot]...parts missing or broken...no accessories...
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/381380776389?...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Looked at the seller...
Took a gamble...
Bought the pair...
They just arrived yesterday...
they both came with batteries ..one batt is perfectly fine [just needed charging]...the other ..the charge on it is done
and my long shot hopeful gamble paid off..
They are both immaculate..
barely used..
nothing wrong with either of them..
AND..
tried a perfectly fine sim in the pair of them....
the telephony is fine..
Not too shabby ..
both for a total of $86 USD
Now I finally got my backup babies...
which ..when time finally kicks the crap out of 'em...
will make good neo shell parts...

Installed CSSU-Thumb. its i think CSSU-Testing as testing is newer than Thumb right now. Everything running smooth and fluid.

Well guys not sure how accurate Wikipedia is, but according to the information on that today marks 6 years since the mighty N900 was officially released onto the market.

So to mark the occasion, I propose everyone who still has an N900 to use it as their main phone for the next 24 hours.

YEP!

Already done so the last 5 years (okay, need to admit I switched to N950/N9 for a few days/weeks but put them as secondary device).
Definitely doing so today (posting from the mighty one).
And will do so for the future (until ...)
