But wait a minute...THEY have changed their policies...THEY want to add some extra...now if it exceeds 10%, do WE have to pay for the cancellation fee or for the remaining months or both or nothing? I'm confused!

Ah but no. You see, according to VF, they HAVE NOT CHANGED OUT POLICIES. They are only enforcing the FUP, with NEW charges.

Our only hope is this 10% clause.

So wait, are you saying that we're going to pay just because they're doing their sneaky business?

Exactly. They are trying everything to keep us from leaving them. They are nothing but money grabbing tossers.

The latest thing VF have suggested, is that we cant leave if we signed up after November 2009. Even tho clearly in my contract states the 10% clause.

Its a complete farse. I started out wanting to leave VF because of their change to the "unlimited" internet package.

Now I just want to leave because its Vodafone. Because they treat their customers like utter $hit. I dont even care about my "unlimited" internet package any more.

Well I am not with vodafone. I got my N900 online (Nokia Retail). I pay £30 per month for 24months and I get 900mins, 500texts and unlimited internet on T-Mobile.

Unlimited Internet on T-Mobile has a fair usage policy of 1gb but apparantely you are not charged when you go over the limit.

I guess that this will be a better option compared to the Vodafone contract. There was a 18 month contract for the same price, however you only get 300mins.

When I got my N900, i received a free leather case (the official Nokia one).

Thanks for claryfing, I've just sent them a very strong and firm email: I'm leaving and they WILL waive any cancellation or whatever, whether they want it or not, as I've got all proofs that this can't be done AND I called the "helpdesk" (ironic: "help"...) and I've been told that any fees can be waived if you email them or send them a letter but if you do it by the phone you shall be charged. Well, I've got the details of that call etc, and I've included that in my email. I shall inform you guys of the outcome.

Please do. I am still in limbo right now. I have downloaded 1.5Gb and still have not received any texts messages allowing me to cancel
