I am now able to play songs via a filemanager. This was done by editing

/usr/share/dbus-1/services/com.nokia.mediaplayer.service

and change /usr/bin/mediaplayer to /usr/bin/openmediaplayer

However it does not work for videos, all it does is try to load the video then plays the previous song.

Xterm error report

"invalid object id"
"set position: operation not allowed in Transitioning state"

Brilliant program, gidzzz. I will do the German translation if there isn't anybody else already working on it. But just give me a break I'm not close with this kind of translation file. All you need is the "openmedia.ts" file" or am I wrong? I simply use Notepad++ to edit it and then upload the file?

Hi all

i'm working on French translation too actually 50%.

@sbock: Use QtLinguist for translate openmediaplayer.ts and you can release openmediaplayer.de_DE.qm for testing in your phone, just put this file in /opt/openmediaplayer/lang.

Edit: Add link to QT linguist

Some of the buttons aren't translated like Yes and No, Settings --> "Save", FM Transmitter --> "Mhz" before choosing a frequency. Too long text strings cut off in buttons.
Hopefully it's all fixed now. I just uploaded updated files to git, so some more strings await translation.

Simply press Return on the keyboard. Text in the application will be split in the same way as in the .ts file.

This way I can see the player crashing. I'll try to investigate more.

Just like mrwormp did: edit "/usr/share/dbus-1/services/com.nokia.mediaplayer.service".

I'd like to see the current album art and lyrics when playing internet radio.
Also in other modes, display the remaining time (in the format "-12:34") when clicked on the elapsed time area (that's 97x36 px on the now playing view)

Great work. I haven't had time to test it before and now it's not far from the stock Media Player.

Just one question, the button to delete a video while playing it, seems a bit "dangerous" to me.

just tested this today and wow, just wow. although the first row of the album arts list is too close to the status menu bar. and if in portrait mode it is to close to the left.
