i was one of the first people to jump on board with this and am very happy with the kernel v48 version, except for one thing... i've lost the ability to use the mafw equalzer. i unstalled the mafw renderer and reinstalled mafw-eq-renderer , but it's still broken. I really miss the equalizer, is there any workaround that doesn't involve upgrading to v49?

Guys, I really need help from someone who owns n950 or n9. I am still unable to find sources of gstreamer0.10-dsp-0.9.0-6+0m6. Without that I am unable to fix the last remaining issue re 720p - skype/gtalk broken videocalls.

Please, someone to write to Nokia asking for gstreamer0.10-dsp-0.9.0-6+0m6 source code.

I just want to thank you for the wonderful effort you're putting in our beloved N900s. I was in Istanbul, Turkey last week and took the best HD videos one can ever imagine on my device with my girlfriend who actually was really impressed by them!

Just a heads up, while using HD mode, the recording FPS is ranging between 20 to 24 FPS, mostly @ 23 FPS but was never higher than 24, but even if at 20 FPS, there are no frame-drops at all which make the videos seamless.

Here is a preview of a 23 FPS video captured in HD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF6uTdVLqFs

I guess all those parameters are quite fixed, so this might be a dumb question, but is there any chance of getting something like 320x240@60 or more FPS?

Just to make things clear for people *not* following this thread - gstreamer0.10-dsp-0.9.0-6+0m6 is GPL'ed, but Nokia haven't released sources of it yet. This is GPL violation, and we're quite sure, that when any N9/N950 owner ask for sources, they're obliged (and will be happy to) release said sources. So, freemangordon is *not* asking someone to write re-licensing bug (without chances for success, as we know Nokians), he is just asking someone to ask Nokians about code that they're *obliged* to release.

Still, for ~1,5 month, no N9/N950 user care to help us int his (quite trivial) task. Which, I'm quite not surprised, judging by N9/N950 user base and type.

I had a little conversation on #harmattan and it seems that having n9/50 is not needed for source code request.
<Piru> fair enough. so they didn't respond?
<freemangordon> I don't own n9 nor n950
<DocScrutinizer> aaaah
<freemangordon> I am not in position to ask
<Piru> you don't need to
<Piru> just get the binary and you're entitled to ask for the src
<DocScrutinizer> exactly
<freemangordon> noone has distributed the binary to me in any form
<DocScrutinizer> and it's LGPL?
<freemangordon> 100%
<DocScrutinizer> hmm, just ask
<Piru> well if you get the LGPL binary by whatever means they MUST provide the src if you ask for it
<Piru> and I'm fairly sure they do. the LGPL clauses are rather "flexible" about it
<Piru> for instance it doesn't specify how fast they should respond
<Piru> also they can choose to deliver via physical media if they choose to...
<DocScrutinizer> nah, they will move when there's really sth fishy
<Piru> I saw the (L)GPL offer at least
<Piru> in about
<Piru> want the address?
<freemangordon> sure
<Piru> sourcecode.request@nokia.com
<Piru> or written snail mail:
<Piru> Source Code Request
<Piru> Nokia Corporation
<Piru> P.O.Box 226
<Piru> FI-00045 Nokia Group
<Piru> Finland
Will you do me a favor to write a mail to nokia asking for source code as I don't feel my is English good enough to do the job. My diplomacy too . Just have in mind that license is LGPL, not GPL.
