So did you download the .deb from this thread, or install it from Extras?
Either way, did your desktop look like in the screenshots right after installation, or did you have to make other adjustments?
gconftool-2 -s /apps/osso/hildon-desktop/portrait_wallpaper -t bool true

what I did :
1- enable portrait wallpaper by :
(need to reboot after it)Code:gconftool-2 -s /apps/osso/hildon-desktop/portrait_wallpaper -t bool true
2- clear desktop from any widget
3- install maemeemo from extras-devel
4- from Theme Customizer choose:
- Theme ----> MaeMeeMo
- Font ----> Nokia Pure Text
- Icon theme ----> harmattan-icons-pack-for-white-themes
- Snap-to-grid size ----> 14
- Widget opacity ----> 130
- Menu bar opacity ----> 0
5-Download wallpapers from :
change portrait wallpapers to LeafP1.png and LeafP2.png
6- rearrange widgets on desktops
7- add favorite apps shortcuts and place them on the dockbar
8- download transitions.ini from :
and place it in /usr/share/hildon-desktop/ (take backup from transitions.ini that exist)
9- enable MaeMeeMo 1.4 from QtLockscreen Configuration
Then reboot

You are not using bleeding edge drivers man it should be as any qtlockscreen take from battery because MMM only makes some replacements and nothing running except the lockscreen.
you need to setup maemeemo-theme, the new lockscreen ( maemeemo 1.4 ), and the place of the qbw manually and it is all from the wiki page.
Edit : for who has tested maemeemo-theme please vote here according to your test whether you found it good or not.
