One thing I noticed though, like in my case, there's no notifications sounds when I receive messages, Profile picture don't update too, I think this is caused by the change in folders as recently some said they prefer wazapp folder, some documents etc, now upgrading on top the existing one courses confusin to the app, unless everything is deleted for the phone before new install, I haven't done this myself yet but I think that's the problem.

First of all.. THANK YOU!
Then.. I installed 20092012-1225 version.. but:
1) still no profile picture, coming from an old version
2) no language can be applied, except for the default one.. is it normal?
EDIT: profile pictures can be seen only deleting old .db file

hi @all
if have an old(er) db, install the latest, profilpicture load has e problem. also contacts counter wount work. (look in your log)
open teminal an delete all files located in "/home/user/.cache/wazapp/contacts" an /home/user/.cache/wazapp/profile" then delete (or rename) *.db in "/home/user/.wazapp/" ...
then open wazapp, sync your contacts, push "refresh"-button in contactlist will load all profil-pictures, and you see the contact-counter (only for new contacts), it never show after restart wazapp (why???)
i think thats a problem in db from older versions ...
