DHL says that mine is en route to me now. It's a Taobao-Device, so no "real" success story here.

I really hope it's a genuine one to get me motivated to finally update my apps again!
(Sorry to those of you using them who might suffering from bugs, I hope you understand just a tiny bit. Soon™, you know the drill.)

Just got my Taobabo lottery delivery.

It was the real deal, with official Jolla packging, warranty card and all

Updated nicely, and all apps installed without fuzz, even Exchange and android support.

Now I just got to hope I will never need that warranty.

...And that who ever spiffy maintains the Sailfish "Books" app would be so kind as to add some color/font size customization features to it.

That is true!

If there would not be history, it would be tempting to jump in...

Well spotted!
Perhaps they are poking a bit of fun at themselves...

And yes, they are definitely a dynamic start-up. One thing is certain: if you join them, you will definitely not be bored.

Yep, that is the usual way to speak of C and C++ languages. They are sharing so much that a lot of tools or job offers mention both at once. (see https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%22C%2Fc%2B%2B%22 for examples)

Also, a lot of lower level libs are C code (linux kernel, gstreamer, blueZ...), so even if someones job is to code for C++ with Qt, knowing C (which is not much more than a C++ programmer already should knows) is a real asset.

It is interesting to see they are looking specifically for a bluetooth engineer. BT LE is not yet supported officially in the current Jolla if I am not mistaken ?

Atleast it's good that no sailfish updates appears anymore. All coders should be locked up until Jolla do what they say which is ship tablets and refund all backers. Then code if they have any money left, and coders

I know, but 'usual' does not make it 'right'. That was my point.

C and C++ may have similar names and even a similar syntax but the paradigms are radically different. Especially when you introduce libraries and toolkits like STL or Qt.

Dunno really. C++ is just C with OO extensions.
