I just built the latest 2.6.28.10 from extras with a 500mhz max DSP and these timings for the MPU:

125 / 250 / 500 / 750 / 900

Rock solid, and SO FAST.

Finally I can use the mafw equalizer without stuttering. Web pages render much more quickly. I ran it at full load for 15 minutes (bzip2 + equalized media playback) and the keyboard surface stabilized at 32C.

What an amazing machine.

great work guys, will try this later. just a quick question, flashing the kernel to non-stock compiles results in the phone/fw ver to be reported as <unknown>, does reflashing with the stock kernel restore it back to the original or does it need a total reflash from scratch?

was just wondering cos if it does i'll just wait for pr1.2 to be released before playing

Hi, I'm pretty new to the forums, but I am not new to overclocking (my pc cpu is overclocked from 2.4GHz to 3.7GHz, my gpu is o/c'd and my ram is o/c'd, hell I even overclocked my old ipod video 5g back in the day.) So I'm interested in overclocking my shiney new n900. Just because I like overclocking. I'm well aware of the risks but to hell with them.
So if someone could please PM me the files for 125-900 I would be ever so grateful.

Thanks

You know, it seems that Nokia probably made a little mistake... I'm pretty sure they actually meant the device to be run at 900MHz. Otherwise it should have been called just N600.

Now we just need to figure out what is the best speed steps to use...

125/250/500/550/xxx

or something like

125/250/375/500/xxx

Lehto, have you tried such speed increments?
