Not sure if it's random or if this fixed it but I'll keep it at 45 for now to see if that prevents the error from showing up (it happened every time before this).
I've gone ahead and made the version in (slow) development 45

4-5 reboots and disconnects later I haven't seen any sign of the Network disconnect. Yay

Now if you could only fix Yahoo in RTComm

I just got my GV invite and installed TOR yesterday to play around with it.

Strangely whenever i try to make an outgoing call using GV my call immediately disconnects and then one of those yellow message bars goes across the top of the screen saying "busy."

Immediately after installing TOR i was able to place 1 call successfully. Then the "busy" pattern started.

Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

SMS seems to work great!

I am having the same problem: I can make just one phone call after reboot, after that it's always "busy".

What phone system are you using for inbound calls? Cell, SIP? Type of SIP?

When "making a TOR call" and another call comes in, you end up missing that call. For a while I lengthed the time of "making a TOR call" to allow cancellation but people ran into issues with it overlapping with the inbound call. I dropped the delay. I notice that on my phone with Skype and sipgate it gap between closing the TOR call and receiving the inbound call is very close.

I tried to fix this by adding "Hold" support but that didn't work. There is one maybe two things I can do to provide more time but its pretty tight as is and am unsure if I could do it.

I, too, am having the same busy problem. However, it is only a problem with some numbers. It is strange because all my numbers use the same format: (area code)(7 digits).

I have not been able to take the time to set up incoming GV calls to my N900 yet. All that stuff about SIP and everything has been going over my head so far. I just started getting into VOIP and everything.

So as of right now the only incoming calls i have are from my regular cell #.

After further testing i have found like ceevee that it is only certain #s that give me the busy message when i call.

It may be purely coincidence but I have not been able to successfully place a GV call to another person on the same network as myself(T-Mobile). Not that I would want to because tmo to tmo is free but its still strange.

I tested it by calling my wifes phone with GV using TOR and it gave me the busy message. I then called my home (landline) # and it worked just fine. I tried calling my wife's phone again and got the busy message again.

I want to make sure you realize i'm not complaining and i love TOR and appreciate the hard work you have put into it.

If there is any further info i can provide i would be happy to.

Just wondering if I could make some suggestions:

Allow multiple numbers to be set as the screenname? I like to use skype for my calls, but send texts straight from my phone, and the SMS option with GV isn't there when skype is set as my forwarding number (since I don't have SMS enabled for it in google voice). Being able to at least set one number for texts and one for calls would be good.

And would it be possible to make an offline mode? I believe you can call into google voice, and then dial a contact's number from there, perhaps there could be a way for TOR to call your Google Voice number, and then input a contact's number.

TOR should have buttons for texts regardless of whether the configured forwarding number is setup for receiving texts. That would kind of defeat the purpose of texting in TOR since it doesn't rely at all on the forwarded texts but queries the server directly.

Could you provide further detail about the situation of when you do and do not have a GV SMS button? Note that there is a bug I have out to Nokia that prevents me from having 2 buttons on system contacts. So the only time a contact would have an SMS button is if its a GV contact.

I take it by offline you mean off-data but not voice? I'm unsure how practical it is to implement such a feature with TOR. I think Google does it with an API that I don't have access to while for me would require auto-calling a cell number, and pumping DTMF tones into it to enter a password I'd have to get from the user and then enter the number. I think it'd be best to leave that as an exercise for a stand-alone app rather than an integrated one.

For me, TOR only offers "Text with Google voice" when the forwarding number I'm using has texting enabled on google voice.

By offline, I mean voice only, no data. As in, you dial the google voice number, then the contact's number.
