Regarding galaxy note 8 and other new devices. Why would anyone want a 3D cam? What can you do with them?anything useful?

You can watch it on www.samsung.com or probably get play by play comments on places like engadget.

I may be wrong but I'm not sure if this is a true virtual reality experience. I think the goggles you insert your phone use a stereo vision approach to 3D. If you rotate your head left or right or up and down it reproduces what you should see with depth. But it does not track your body's motion when moving backwards, forwards or sideways.
