Was mainly posting because people were doubting authenticity. I've got time, location, place... but am strangely lacking an invite to the event itself. Still trying to worm myself in through the PR firm though...

But couldn't it simply be just another announcement to launch at some unknown time in the future?
Wouldn't surprise me....

Just a sidenote, possibly related to the thread: Nokia Finland on their facebook page promoted the 'first touch' -campaign starting on 15.9.2011. Some commenter called up Nokia Care and they said that the device in question would be in store after the campaign, which is 28 days long. Thus making the N9 release date in Finland the 13.10.2011.

Nokia N8 had a similar campaign in the past. N8 started selling in stores before the campaign was finished (this made some of the campaing winners angry because they had to wait for their prize phones and other people got their phones earlier from stores...).

Possible.

Just that the last time Nokia Malaysia had a launch similar to this was the N900, where they gave out one to each person who attended and promptly started selling (albeit months after it was available elsewhere).

Either way, a media launch is definitely the next step towards widespread availability... Nothing wrong with hoping right? I mean we've only been hoping for months...

The things we have to suffer just to have Maemo when that beast does it all and more.

Makes you wonder if Nokia is even worth it anymore.
