(8"? why not just have a laptop or convert lap tab?)
I mean something like VGN-P788K

I need something that fits into my pocket and has "real" Linux inside (not Android) and a hardware keyboard, currently Nokia N9x0 seems the best choice but they are slow as hell (try to enable javascript in the browser and you'll see ).

Hi Guys!

I took the N900 of the shelve again, as I do usually in every 3rd month. Still no luck finding an alternative "Linux PC in the pocket" device at the end of 2016...:S

However, I have to call myself lucky to have a second hand Nexus 5 fully operational as my primary device. But I did not tried any other systems on it because its "my primary device"!

And then I saw this:

What do you think?

From the Nexus 5 install instructions [1]:
2. Flash Plasma Mobile (PM) on top of Cyanogenmod (CM)
So just like Cyanogenmod, KDE Plasma Mobile is yet another userland running on an Android kernel that is full of blobs and willl drop support whenever Google wants.
Nice try, but a pile of sh*t stays what it is, no matter how you paint it.

Looks just awful in the video. I know it's an early prototype, but what a terrible user experience! Total lack of so-called workflow.

Now that is the part I was most interested in. I wanted some of you guys to see this and get your opinions. It looks like though but it is NOT a true Ubuntu Linux whatsoever.

Soon we have to open a new thread for the 2017 year trying to find a device which is capable of running desktop Linux, make calls, etc.

N900 is truly an awesome piece of art from a lost but exciting era of handheld devices.

Looks just like Android and functions just like Android, on top of Android. What's the point? Call it widgets or call it plasmoids, call it KRunner or call it Google search, it's all the same thing in the end. If all you do is mimic what someone else is doing, why would anyone choose your mimicry and not the original? The author calling KDE 'nimble' is probably a bit of a stretch, too.
