Ovi Store works on my N8 with the leaked Belle. Before, I just got the loading indicator.

I'm testing my applications on Symbian Belle with Qt Components atm. Performance is not as good as on the N950, but it's OK.

The iPhone in Malaysia is "generally" more expensive than in Europe - mainly because our telcos don't really subsidize the prices. The typical telco in Malaysia takes the off-the-shelf RRP of the iPhone, deducts X amount as a required up front payment for the iPhone, and then divides RRP-X over the contract period; resulting in almost 0 actual subsidy.

In contrast (from available online information), US/European telcos appear to actually subsidize a fair portion of the iPhone cost (correct me if I'm wrong).

An example of Malaysian iPhone4 pricing (currently) is as follows - iPhone4 32GB: RM1100 (~USD367) up front payment, followed by a contract period of 12 months with a monthly commitment of RM375 (~USD125). This works out to a total of RM5600 (~USD1867) over the 12 months.

Hope this helps

To prove that you either have a point or knowledge. If you know something, share it. If you do not, then continue down this path.

I have several compelling reasons to suggest it, but none of those would mean anything if you know nothing about Mentor Graphics. If you did knew a tiny bit about Mentor Graphics, then those reasons would make much more sense than going meego or webos.
And three inquiries later, you've offered not a one. So make it mean something or admit that you know too little, thus it is meaningless.

Second thought... logic is wasted on you. Nevermind.

For price comparison. The iphone4 16GB unlocked, without contract, can be had for around 5000 NOK online in Norway. The N9 is also around 5000 NOK. So assuming both proces translate the same you should expect to pay about the same as you would pay for the 16gb iphone (assuming you can get them both on the same contracts)

Like this comment from .viideo "in stockholm you see most people using Iphone, but we know people who buys n9 is already using smartphones but in the same time they want to be different something fresh and not something everybody else has cause its not fun if everyone is has same phone."

exacly what i think
So the two of you think that the main reason to buy an N9 over any other mainstream smartphones is just because it's different, not because it's better in any way.

(And being different is making it piss on WP7, Symbian and iPhone.... all of which are already shipping and selling).

Huh?
Have you not been following this thread & developments elsewhere?*
Of course it's better than WP/Symbian/iOS in some/many ways.
Better overall, still a tricky one, we need a phone...

*actually "elsewhere" is better overall than this thread to get a picture of the hw/OS/apps etc.

Actually they may need a linux OS for their bada platform. Nucleus OS maybe doesn't do it for some uses. That would of course exclude the use of Qt, although Qt5 will be open for contribution from others.
