Post your config here.

Edit: I upgraded the kernel-config package and everything works fine now.
download the attached file and extract it in mydocs..

open xterm

sudo cp -r /home/user/MyDocs/kernel-config /usr/sbin/
sudo chmod +rwx /usr/sbin/kernel-config
kernel-config load lv
kernel-config save test
kernel-config show

it solved my bugs

Is it possible to overclock the n900 beyond 1.15Ghz to like 1.2 or 1.3Ghz?

Just curious

maybe, but IMHO that could easily kill your cpu.. or you'll need an active cooler then.. ;D

Where we can find now your edition of kernel?

Hello

I am trying to fix to 1000 however when I edit the list of valid frequencies the 0 is not there. So I end up with 1000 and some other value. How can I enable the 0Mhz with kernel-config?

Thanks for your help!

[6. From leafpad, we need to edit FREQS line to only show 2 frequencies:
eg. FREQS="0:20,90 1000:60,500 "
(above example means it only allows 0Mhz or 1000Mhz. exact numbers may differ depending on which overclock profile u used. At the end, just ensure you have 2 values in there. 0 and max value you want.)

I do not see the 0 in my list the smallest value is 250. Could you please help me
Thanks!

an easy way to lock frequencies:

as root in x-term:

kernel-config limits 1000 1000

et voila, locked on 1000 MHz

Remember to do it at each boot or to save it as a profile, like:

kernel-config save lock1000MHz

Also, now it is stored as profile, but not loaded on boot, if you want to do so:

kernel-config default lock1000MHz

NOTE: I chose "lock1000MHz" as profile name, but you can use anyone you want, like "Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake" or "RedPill" or "ImGonnaFryMyPhone", i think you understand the idea

So, all the commands above will, first set 1000MHz as min and max value to use, therefor lock it to this value. You can do this for any other combination you want. Second, we save your settings as a profile which can be loaded easily. Third, we set the new profile as default so it is loaded at computer boot.

Enjoy!

EDIT: you may want to have a look at this page for further/more informations on power kernel config: http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power

i'm running 1150
1)i've put thermal compound(non conductive thermal compound) on samsung ram(underneath is the cpu)
2)on the thermal compound i've put a thermal pad ,
3)on that pad another layer of thermal compound to transfer heat to the metal shield
