The only significant change that I'm aware of (regarding SwipeUX) is to enable configuration of which screen is displayed depending on the direction of the swipe.
This is an improvement, but is still not enough to lift the overall productivity level above that of Freemantle.
As it stands, from an end user perspective, I don't see much to differentiate this device from the likes of the iPhone..
but the risk that Nokia will cease to repair/replace N9s in the future (i.e. within 2 years of release).
There are already cases where N900 owners have been asked to accept N8/E7 as a 'replacement' for a faulty N900 returned within the 2 year warranty period.
I don't see any reason to believe this won't happen with the N9.

Does anyone know if calenderitems will be shown on the eventpage?
I use my calendar allot together with MfE.
And on the N900 i've got the calendar widget which tells me when i have an appointment.
I don't have to want to open the calendar app everytime i want to see if i have an appointment.

I really am intrigued why you keep saying it's less "productive" than Fremantle.

"..and it's also possible to run flash-applications with this product. Actually, unfortunately the browser version that we have in the device doesn't fully support it yet, but, it's possible."
It's not me starting rumors

It will be also officially available in Slovakia as I found out yesterday, 64GB version for €600 but no specific release date so far. This is different from list of countries which we have seen shortly after N9 was revealed. Maybe they changed mind and later added some countries...but probably this is not the case of USA,UK, Germany... :/ Such a shame.

This is partly due to the lack of homescreens and widgets,
to be replaced by a half-baked solution whereby applications can display state-dependent information.
Also, there is too much reliance on the iPhone-like grid of icons.
I hardly ever need to go to the application list in Freemantle.

But are they not isolated incidents relating to shortages in local service centres?*
Nokia hasn't yet switched completely to "anything but N900" has it?
Even if it has, my points about the N900 support being quite different to the N9 remain.
"If" if the N9 sells better, & "if" Nokia doesn't try to kill it sooner in spite of that.
And the N900 actually 1st came out, as early as August/Sept didn't it?
*i.e. because of having to wait many more weeks than initially intended, customers are offered a N8/E7 as an alternative.
