i think the pr1.2 is simply nokia trying to establish to a stable bug free maemo 5 device that doesnt need updates every other 2 months. i doubt and hope as well that the meego release is independent of anything concerned with where maemo5 is currently at.

May be that's why it's taking so long? i.e. perhaps loads of developers have been pulled off Maemo to work on Meego?
I hope that's not the case though.

Let's hope they're just testing it thoroughly, that would be good as I want my phone to just work!

none, just hoping. But after going through this PR1.2 thing, i think i'm fine with no MeeGo because i can't wait for another legendary Chuck Norris thread...
