I don't think that's an issue with Diablo's kernel, deadmalc, just Diablo's initfs. The kernel has a different issue, at least on the N810, where the partition is large enough to allow the Diablo kernel to be flashed, but trying to boot with that kernel does not work. The N800 can boot the kernel just fine, though.

Sorry my bad, my point was that the kernel + the initfs are (I assume) are in the boot partition, and the increase in size of the initfs requires a bigger partition.
