season's greetings
it recognizes the interface but immediately believes it was manually closed and stops monitoring it.

- OK first let's check that you have configured correctly AutoDisconnect. Run in your terminal the following command and post here the result :
gconftool-2 -g /apps/autodisconnect/param_idle_network_mode_type
/home/user # gconftool-2 -g /apps/autodisconnect/param_idle_network_mode_type 3g
- Then switch your phone to 2G (GSM) and then run in a terminal :
Does your phone switch to 3G ?Code:dbus-send --system --type=method_call --dest=com.nokia.phone.net /com/nokia/phone/net Phone.Net.set_selected_radio_access_technology byte:2
- If so, could you switch back to 2G, and try to connect to the Internet. Then wait for AutoDisconnect to disconnect your phone and post here the last 30 lines of the file /var/log/autodisconnect.log
Thanks

AutoDisconnect v0.4.8 has been released today and is available in extras-devel. I hope you will enjoy it!
It will be moved in extras-testing during the week in order for you to to promote it in Extras.
If you like this application and want to support the development, I have added a Paypal link, so feel free to donate. Thanks!
-------------------------------
Changelog
* Fix [#6380] : Disconnect fails when interface traffic exceeds 2 GiB
* Fix [#6705] : Multiple connections support for the same interface
* New feature [#6102] : Exception for Mobile Hotspot/JoikuSpot
