What I mean is it's not an item you can buy off the shelf, it's not a battery that another phone uses so its wide circulation is pretty much guaranteed, it's an item that is likely manufactured solely for the N9. So, if Nokia stops making these, we won't be able to replace a used and worn battery with a new one.

That's a huge assumption, that I find very unlikely. I really don't see how a pair of wires will change anything. Lots of GPS'es has wired batteries, and there are no problems finding replacements.

And I acknowledge that it is an assumption, hence the "likely". However, I cannot find any other product that uses the BV-5JW. The other high-end non-replaceable-battery Nokias, the N8 and the E7 use the BL-4D, which is a standard one, and is documented at nokia.com. Glancing through the models, I also saw that no other battery had a "BV" designation. It was mostly BLs and some BPs. Finally, on the repair manual the battery was completely unmarked, without the Nokia iridescent seal that "normal" models have, although this could just as well be because the dissected N9 was a prototype.

I don't know, I have a strong impression (that I cannot concretely prove) that this will be an item that is supposed to be only in the hands of Nokia tech and service guys, not consumers. Maybe this could also be used in a WP7 model if it has a unibody structure, who knows. I don't think, though, that we will be able to buy this one.

The 3 homescreens and almost all of the bundled apps are written in MTF. This is a fact, at least in the old June firmware, and I much doubt they've rewritten all of that since.

It is easy to check, since there are some keyboard shortcuts to debug visual aspects that only work on MTF applications.

Why the f doesn't Samsung call it dlna like everyone else? Anyway, thank you . Now i'll include samsung in my search for new Telly.
Probably because the term 'AllShare' has more meaning to the average human than the letters 'DLNA' Personally, I can't fault them for that. Whoever chose to call it 'DLNA' was an abbreviated idiot to start with.

Huh? How is that possible? My nearly 2-year old Motorola Droid can stream 1080p content through wifi (802.11g) using Twonky to my XBOX 360. How is it that the N9 can't even do 720p? There's got to be a misunderstanding there.

is it me or does all this Nokia love for swipe smell like webOS to anyone else? I think its a great innovation but do Nokia deserve all the credit?

I find myself more and more attracted to the pre3. Something about dead OS's that I can't resist.

Just watched the video of marko's speech, he essentially says we're gonna see numerous products with the swipe pattern, besides the windows phone pattern. A pity its probably not gonna be on meego.

That's what I said a long time ago. Swipe is easely the best work by Nokia in several years, at least of those things that enters the market.
