I've seen Harmattan packages related to Haptics so its there, I think you guys perception of what are Haptics is a little clouded

Well Even the N8 and other S^3 devices have touch feed back when you press something you can select like a link, icon launcher, widget etc., which is considered haptics.
So I dont see how the Haptics are the "disruptive" tech in this device what they keep mentioning.

this kind of feedback is made by vibration of the phone (nothing special). but it is also possible just to stimulate your mechanoreceptors (Pacinian corpuscles) by small electro „shocks“. so when you’re typing on the device your your brain gets the signal of pressing a button.

Unless he knows for sure he was testing the final hardware that doesn't mean anything. Also test builds of harmattan may have had features removed or disabled to prevent information from leaking. (Such as there being no terminal to make it harder to get at hw and package information).

Let's take a made up example: Suppose Nokia is releasing a device with some new revolutionary battery tech that will allow it to hold a charge 10 times that of normal batteries (I'd consider that disruptive ). If they want to keep this a secret testers (that isn't testing battery management, but something else) gets a device that is hacked to only charge to 10% and report that as 100%. People that can't see the new feature can't leak information about it.

This means we can't fully trust "not there" information leaked by testers because it may have only been "not there" in their test device.

So your brain can learn new languages by typing on the keyboard. Lets hope we don't see Any bugs, if so your brain might be Frid.

this tactile feedback technology is not about vibration if touched, its about feeling the keys/symbols/textures/whatever under your finger when sliding your fingertip(s) over the touch display. awesome and absolute disrupting in touch technologys

p.s. so many posts just about one word... very funny...
