Yes, and Dsmobile of MR forums has hinted something similar long ago; he said something like: "It's bye-bye hw keyboard for me". Don't remember the exact wording.

Well, consider this, we are all anticipating a new device:
1. Disrupting MagicInputMethod (tm) is already considered as confirmed,
2. Hardware (well CPU+memory in more narrow sencse) is more or less narrowed to 2-3 options,
3. Distribution maemo/meego situation is pretty much unclear.
4. the situation with oss drivers is strongly suspected.

I am thing it would be very disruptive, if it is proven that they don't actually have disrupting Haptics/MagicKeyboard (tm).

If they show a device without the MagicInputMethod (tm), I am pretty sure everybody will be very disappointed no matter what other options are present.

he said "It's bye-bye hw keyboard for me and welcome candybar“ but he meant the design of the device which he liked a lot, especially in black.

This sounds like being electrocuted each time you touch it. Reminds me of Eric Cartman.

The N900 and N97 came out before the first capacitive Nokia phone, the X6. (by the way the X6 doesn't charge by the usb port, so it seems older hardware-wise. Maybe delays due to capacitive?)
After that most symbian phones are capacitive, but not all. See C5-03, C6-00 etc.
