On this german IT news portal you can read in the abstract under the headline that PR1.2 will be relaesed in Mai 2010:

Maemo PR 1.2 soll im Mai 2010 mit neuen Funktionen erscheinen.

This could be a typo. In the end of the article they wrote the relase date is not official announced.

I wonder if firmware (PR1.2) is gonna be the final update or are there goin to be more?

I'm pretty sure they just meant Meego comes in May.

I reckon 1.2 will be our lot, if it ever even materialises... maybe 1.2.1 to fix the things 1.2 breaks

more...and then...meego...and then....next os after meego.. i wonder when we reach the state where you pick a device and after that can insall your os, like a computer.

I think PR1.2 is ready. However normally, an update fixes things and breaks other. I think they're testing it and trying to fix what they broke.
