yes but i can say from my experience, that i have not been able to make my battery's explode an as stated before i have a few hundred Li-ion/LiPo battery's, my EV moped (vespa ciao converted) uses a battery i made, using 36 battery's total and has been going strong for over 1 year now.

The exploding lithium battery's where more "common" 5 years ago, much has happened since, not to mention LiFe battery's that are next to impossible to explode, even bullets fired through the battery does nothing.

Do you think that this charger can fully charge the scud battery?

Ok once again, the N900 will charge the scud 98% up, you will not really feel or get much more by the last %, the charger you link to will charge the N900, and then the N900 will still administer the charge, meaning if you charge from a computer, normal nokia charger or the charger you posted, it will still be 98%!!
The only way to get the last % is by making a system like mine, or getting a normal external charger (for battery only) and modifying it.

In practice and without testing I find my normal mugens roughly equivalent to my individual scuds. Certainly they are both better for me than the highly touted Japhods, which I rarely bother to use at all. I agree that the Scuds are probably best, but it's not particularly obvious to me in the real world.

One interesting thing is that the Mugens drop very quickly to zero and the scuds don't. When the Mugens get low I just get the warning three beeps at the end. With the Scuds I get the occasional one beep towards the end, then eventually I get the three beeps. In other words, the Mugens seem to die more abruptly.

Edit: Another difference is that the Mugens always start with 100 percent charge as measured by the advanced power monitor, whereas the Scuds never do. They are both charged with my unmodified external charger.

My orginal battery 1320 mAh charges only til 1222 mAh, now i have another orginal battery (from a new Nokia 5230 same type as N900) and this one charges also at max 1222 mAh .
I monitor the charges witch NetMon and BatteryGraph.
Any ideas why it doesn't charge any further??

Thanks in advance

This has been talked about so many times, there is a resistor in the circuit of the battery (in the plastic top), this resistor gives the mAh value, my tests are not based on this but on external battery testing equipment.

EDIT: have updated post #3 with this now
Question, did you read the Q&A in post #3 before you posted (yes i know this didn't show before now)
