iDon't know.. I Don't used this option, and i also don't found this tools..
Someone ask me to add this to my N9QT, and I started to check.
This script is a part of Almehdin tweaker, that someone told me its work..

isnt flightmode just that? (doesnt seem to work tho)

there is an app called "flightmode" - the author has put that into

/opt/flightmode/bin/..

so, someone has managed to get the connections cut with a gui button. However, i am not able to launch his "flightmode" app from CLI..

----------------

profilematic tells me:

"warning

profilematic lacks credentials that are needed to change flight mode, and
you have such rules.

reinstall profilematic to restore credentials (i installed it 5 mins ago)
if your firmware is pr 1.2 or earlier ... with later firmwares flight mode actions may not work at all..."

hmm.. of course i have the latest FW which was rolled out a couple of days ago. Not beeing able to go into flightmode is a real bummer, what is the point of this "OS improvement"?

Anyways, i hope you find a way around that obstacle.

Aside from that, your app is worth paying 10 euro for imo.

No. Flight mode cuts the phone also from GSM network.

If the flightmode application works still with PR 1.3, then I probably can work around the problem.

But in the meanwhile, you can use the flightmode program and put it to to ProfileMatic's Custom action like this:

Code:
aegis-exec /opt/flightmode/bin/...

Well great! If it starts happening again, do the instructions to run the daemon manually to get me the logs... and if there's problems starting the daemon or getting the logs let me know and I'll put up new instructions.

This has been fixed for me, turned it to be a stupid mistake from my side.
I had a rule that would make the availability offline at night and the idle rule had a return to previous toggle on for availability!

now all is good, you sir made my N9 perfect with your app. many thanx

Great to see you working on this masterpiece again.

The NFC functionality has taken ProfileMatic to a whole new level of usefulness. I'll have to donate another beer soon.

As great as PM is, there might be some room for improvement. I have a couple of suggestions for rules and actions:

Rules:

- When on mobile data.
- When NOT on wlan or NOT on mobile data
- When charging

Actions:

- disable/enable screensaver
- launch/close application(s) from a list of installed applications.

The connecfion rules I mentioned are for my personal needs and could be handled by my script, but I can't figure out how to test for the active network in python. In other words, not too important.

The actions on the other hand could be very useful for everyone. An NFC tag on a car holder would launch Drive, Music player, activate Bluetooth and disable screensaver (for the music player). When the phone is picked up from the holder the reverse would happen. I know all of this is possible with scripts but this would make it a lot easier to set up for everyone.

(edit: beer money sent, don't pick an expensive bar...)

Good news, those have been implemented already, so will be in 1.7.0. Except the second item... Does it mean you'd like a condition when there is no internet connection? That one hasn't been implemented, but might be easy to add. Currently there is selection to match either when using WLAN as internet connection or mobile connection.

Actions:

- disable/enable screensaver
- launch/close application(s) from a list of installed applications.
Yes I agree they would be useful. Disable/enable screensaver is pretty easy to do if it's at all possible (security framework), so that might come sooner than later. Launching/closing applications on the other hand is a bit more annoying to implement so that'll take a bit more time. But I agree it would be user friendly and it is something I want to do in the future.

(edit: beer money sent, don't pick an expensive bar...)
Thank you! Now I know what to do in the weekend .

Good to know. I love bugs that get fixed by themselves!
